KUCHING BBOYSSSSSS - Childishnya...

I seldom reply people's comment no matter how bad it is coz when you upload a video in youtube, you are suppose to be OPEN to people's opinion. But i seriously hate other people mocking my friends especially when it is ridiculous and unrelevant. Here's the pasted out comment for your pleasure.

.:Part1:.

.:Part 2:.

And if you want to have fun reading more or leave another funny funny comment, fee free to visit the video here

HARDSTYLE REPUBLIC COMING TO KUCHING!

Apekwhuut and Musher will be spinning in the coming MASS CORROSION II. Details are as shown in the flyer. I will re-post the whole detail on this event on a separate post because it is special to me & to Tribezone. NOw i have just done the black and white version so i can go spread it around in any Melbourne Shufflers' events including competitions, meet up, performance, kenduri and whatever it takes to inform everyone the good news. Which shuffler doesn't know who ApeKwhuuT is? If they really don't know... it's such a sad scene.

Well for the event tickets, it will be out by September 1 which is Sunday and to change the Kuching's tradition which is usually don't care about advance tickets or door sales coz they know it will not run out, we have come out with a better packages. So try to be early coz we are estimating how many people will be coming because if it is massive, we will consider changing it to a BIGGER VENUE. So please make your life and our work easier coz if you all ocme last minutes and it is too cramp for shuffling, there is nobody to be blamed but diri sendiri. We know Kuchingites don't mind kan? hehehe

.:The Flyer to give away at Unite Fest later =P:.

Mass Corrosion II is actually at the 2nd year. Last year, we did Mass Corrosion I with the BASS AGENTS.. and I bet that time, many doesn't know Bass Agents yet. With the education everyone passed on, it actually changed Kuching alot. =) About MASS CORROSION I

I Got a GiFt fRom Hong Kong~~

.:I Heart Hong Kong:.

Why I never buy Kuching's own I Love Kuching punya T-Shirt?

1) Nobody buy for me

2) Lazy to contact here and there

3) Kuching is where i was born and i am already stuck in Kuching and never migrate to Bali for good or work at overseas. Ain't it already showed how much I love Kuching the way I don't want to miss the beautiful city???

But... if anyone wanna buy for me as an early birthday or Christmas or just a sincere friendship aka help aka favor aka just feel like it appreciation gift, I will still accept with an open heart happily... HAHAHA
. What I am trying to say is.. it isn't priority in my shopping list.

Will Power

The secret of life is your will power and how you focus on things that you believe. My will power tells me that I Miss Bali so much that I have to live there or at least visit for another 10 times in this life.

Bali I'll be home next year!

.:The itinerary from KL - Bali - KL:.

If there's anyone planning to join this trip, please do not hesitate to nudge, email or call me. The trip is going to be simple. Free and easy with a driver and a car to go around anyplace we want to go. Getting a lousy surfing class, visit the cool ancient mother temple with the air like Genting Highland (my aim is to join the prayer for experience this time), visit Apache the Reggae Club, Bounty the Trance Club, Beach bum, visit the saloon to beautify my dread lock, massage and more massages, and maybe get myself another tattoo at Buddha Face. For the account, we eat at roadside hawker stalls without getting food poisoning (touch wood). Purely travel as back packers and good for people on budget. It's the same old me & Sherlee that will be raving in Bali.

So can't wait to go Bali next year!

Who knows, maybe I can meet up with Steven and Coconut Treez... hahaha

Education has no Boundary

.:1st of all, i am not that thin and i'm asian... 2nd of all, I'm not gna do turntable yet.. jst image for display. XP:.

So I am starting my online studies on Youtube and some other random sites for the guide to Djing for dummies which is very very helpful. By next week, I get to learn on the real equipment. I am talking about Pioneer CDJ 1000 MKII and Pioner DJM 600 wuhoo!

The person I know will only teach me the basic beat matching and cross fade (I presume) because the high tech equipment has already been there but no one knows how to fully utilize it… Going to mess around with the EQ, loop, cues and some other basic effects.

Where’s the class? …. Of course la Confidential…. Ask me personally when you see me will create better environment and improve your communication skill isn’t it?

A friend asked me why learning so many things at 1 time ah? The answer is Aliciaks’s Theory formula as shown.

Complex Formula

Musician produced music -> Djs mixing the music -> people enjoy the music and dance = The scene

Simple Formula
Music + Dance = The Scene

the scene created more music and more dances! It comes in a circle...I named it,
The Circle of Scene

What I’ve learnt were all connected somewhere. Even if they are not for shufflers or dancers, as long as people that has anything got to do with music, I’m fully involved in helping be it for pleasure, passion or just mainly side income to fill my petrol.. hahaha. I’m not really that fussy ya know.

I always wanted to bring up more quality Djs in Kuching. So many interested people but no descent equipment is just so sad. No wonder people go overseas. Anyway, I would love to take the initiative to learn first handed before I start talking as if I am a professional making myself looking like an idiotic poser. Huehuehuehuehue

ARghhh!!!

Someone asked me if I am a Lesbian or wat? har??????

O_o

That's a MAJOR TYPO ERROR...

I laughed till my tears came out... my godness... what's next..
no wonder I tak laku in facebook.... hahaha

Celcom Blackberry Night @ Boulevard

From the title, it is clear what is it all about. I ain't going to mention anything about Blackberry because almost everyone who is able to log into the internet and read this blog of mine already know what a Blackberry is... and for some people that knows what it is but never keen to find out more, you can start checking it out coz if everyone in town knows about it and you don't.... it's embarrassing isn't it? who knows you might like the offers and get yourself one =) For more info, *click*

Ok I've done my part to blog about Blackberry... now get back to my grandmother story.

The title and the 1st paragraph above are dedicated to Celcom for supporting the local music scene and actually I was there to support United Kids of Oi and their new vocalist and their new cover song by Dropkick Murphys 'Forever' 'where is my slipper i wonder'. They did well as usual but the only thing I was surprise was because they sang I'm Yours for the 1st song. Not shocked because it's unusual, but it's because I've just changed my blog's music to the same song since Sat night and was repeating the song when me & Sherlee was painting the studio in the afternoon. It's actually a pleasent suprise coz i love that Acoustic, Reggae song!

.:Been Playing the same song whole day in the studio:.

.:United Kids of Oi with the new girl =):.

.:Ukee busy taking photo for ilovekuching.com he's been very hardwoking these days:.

.:Blue Night Fellas:.

.:Ejal la tok aka Mr Calvin Klein taking video of Lucille:.

.:Sherlee testing the Blackberry:.

Apart from that, i didn't know that last night was also a Blogger's meetup night at th
e same venue for same event. For the record, I am not in the Kuching Blogger community coz no one invited me and I like to blog as individual.. the way it is right now. As i don't seek for popularity of this blog, there's no need to promote my blog kan?

No wonder Silas from Evenstarr was talking about my blog and Nitendo Wii when he was casually asking for me & Sherlee to join the Nitendo Wii bowling... ehem... ya TALKING ABOUT MY BLOG... Saypul went laughing hysterically dunno why as usual but he is also one of this blog's proud reader =)... hahaha and I went =_______=''' and O____o'''. Why in the world would he suddenly talk about my blog? Entah sudah famous kah blog ini until few musicians are following the updates.... Check-check it's because of the meetup la.... Chey.... we didn't even know anything about blogger's meet up until they announced it later on the stage.

Anyway, it feels great to know that there are people reading my overly self praising blog and it's my 2nd time messing with Nitendo Wii after Suzi Che and her family went back to the US along with it 2 years ago??? I managed to hit 178points right behind the winner which hit 231points or something and he walked away with an Ipod Shuffle... damn! I don't know why I always got 2nd or 3rd in any competition.. Maybe being a champion is hard to maintain? But anyway, I've won myself a 2Gb Sony Walkman before from tHe Spring's lucky draw so I am not suppose to be that greedy.. joined the little bowling competition to show support right???... *click* for the story

.:Me bowling seriously... =_=''' :.

Oh ya, STM was on show too. I love STM. but Sherlee was so hungry and pushed me into Sushi King.. we had a quick meal and by the time went back to the stage, they have thanked the audience... T_T I missed the whole show.... and the 2nd show i missed was Evenstarr because Sherlee had to go by 11.00pm... I wonder if they played the same reggae song they played in Damai last month =/

Oh well... since everything was so unplanned coz for all we know, UKOI was having a show, no one is to be blamed. Everything was played by ear.

Cheers!

Tribezone 'Mini' Studio Update - August

Everyone is busy with the up coming Merdeka Celebration with food promotions and small events to celebrate the historical day. 31 August 2008 is marking the 51st year of Malaysia's Federal Independence Day and on 16 September is the day Sarawak merged into Malaysia and therefore declared as Sarawak's Independence Day. There are some issue regarding is 31 August a Malaya's Independence Day and 16 September is the Malaysia's Independence day coz that's when we formed a country called Malaysia instead of Malaya?

Whatever it is, as long as Malaysia is in peace and that is the only thing I care. When's the real Independence Day doesn't matter to me at all.

Oh well, in August Tribezone doesn't have any event nor performance nor recruitment nor new d
ances nor outing nor training only a small successful meet up last week. That's because we are busy with the studio and some are busy with exam while some are permanently away.

Anyway, once the mini studio projex is completed, there are whole lot of plans for all. Be patience and wait while we do our things. =)

.:August is the month:.

.:Artists are natural born hands-on:.

Mooncake lor...

Want some mooncakes?

.:A SMALL piece of chocolate chip lotus Moon Cake & Chef Anthony Perera - Hilton Kuching's Mooncake Master:.

Guess not.. i ate all mine for tasting and left the rest which are not mine alone. If only I can have it all for myself! -.-'''

Aiya....

Over these few days I have been busy with moon cakes… my goodness! This year I am going to eat all the moon cakes offered, bought and stolen. Please don’t even think about sharing it with me. In this case there’s only TAKE and no GIVE.

On busy days like this, I managed to sneaked into face book and joined a fan’s club called Sayang You Can Dance ( Fans Club )… actually the main reason I joined is because I will be in the movie myself ma… I am a celebrity of my own world and proud to be able to bring
Tribezone to Malaysia’s cinema. It’s not some News or breakfast show I am talking about. It’s a movie that will run many times, everyday over a month in cinema. =)

It’s just a small part that I don’t think will be more than 1 minute but it is really something to all of us that’s been involved in it. A simple little thing called satisfaction. The movie will be out in November 2008.. Can't wait.

If you also want to be in the fan club like me... hahaha, *click*

AHEMMM

By the way, today is the beginning of the Hungry Ghost month that will be on-going until 30th August. So guys, be extra careful and show your respect to the souls-on-vacation. Meaning, the superstitious me will be in the temple after work today. No matter how busy also have to make some space for it.

Review Kuching's Melbourne Shuffle Meetup IV

I finally received the photos from Azlan who's currently finishing his final year Twintech College Sarawak project and he has choose Melbourne Shuffle as his final year project. Wow... it's an honor to have people who has so much passion on Melbourne Shuffling. *Pad on the back*

The plan was to start at 7pm and Sherlee, Nelso & I reached earlier at 6.30pm to buy dinner and drinks at Kuching Festival before the Meetup started. at about 6.50pm, the electricity went out and so we walked quickly to our meetup point and ate our dinner while waiting for the rest. Apparently, i received a lot of smses that the whole Sarawak went blackout and traffic jam was terrible. But the meetup went on coz our oldskool boom box worked on batteries anyway.

Kuching being the famous laid back city, some people started to show up at 7.30pm and by 8.00p
m it was just nice with many groups turned up but it was quite dramatic of how the groups either came early and left early or came late and left late.

Whatever it is, Shuffle Meetup are with purposes.. What are the purposes? Well, it's to keep Melbourne Shuffle Healthy and educate the younger generation to keep it on the right path coz it's the scene that build the dance.. not the dance that build the scene. But without a community that dance, there isn't any scene. So the DANCE and the SCENE are both important. You have to keep the dance healthy if you want to keep the scene alive. It is not an easy task to keep it alive and right... but no harm trying people.. You just got to believe it.

.:1st session 7.30pm - 9.30pm (blackout):.

.:2nd session 9.30pm - 11pm (no more blackout):.

For all the photos, you can view it all *here*

Best part is Clement my reggae mate showed up with his almost matured big dread and we compared our hair... Mine are small dreads and his are big dreads... you may happily spot the difference now!

.:Malaysian Star Fish & Durian:.

.:lalala comparing the process.. i got it 1 month after him:.

.:The back side:.

.:Finally a pig ride home:.

Note : By the way, i received an sms later that night about there's a great gig in UiTM on the same night. I didn't regret for not going no matter how great it was for Melbourne Shuffle is ALWAYS my PRIORITY since forever. However, if anyone is interested to find out more bout the gig, visit *here*

BandITogether 08~~~

I was just having a conversation yesterday over lunch about when will this event take place and how the dates were not on display at the backdrop during jamming session for easy info... When I had nothing better to do just now and was reading my own blog.. I know I am pathetic.. hahaha I saw a comment in one of my old post *click* and it led to more info about it.

So once again ladies & gentlemen, it just proved to everyone that THINGS ALWAYS HAPPENED FOR REASON

More information about BanITogether, click *here*

Good luck to those entering and if you have not registered, i guess maybe can TRY BUAT RAYUAN last minutes.com?

Sunday Thingy~~

Last night's Meet Up was considered very successful for there were 10 groups showed up. However, I hope to have more in the next meetup! Anyway, I will only post up the full post review of the event once i got all the photos compiled. Patience dear Melbourne Shufflers...

Let's talk about what I did today instead... Nothing much really. as usual, Sunday is being lazy and wake up late for late breakfast, shopping and stuff like that. But today, i would love to post the photo of Sherlee choosing her shoes coz the process of Ms undecided being terover-over at Zerlina... lol

.:I didn't know people does that in Kuching:.

.:Well this is the choosen one:.

Present

Yesterday was history, today is a gift.. that's why it's called Present. However, tomorrow is a mystery coz we never know what's going to happen. I feel like Master Wu Guai

I bought a farewell gift for my boss as this is the last day i will see her at work and on Monday, it's the beginning of a new era. It's sad to say goodbye but for a better opportunity to achieve her dreams, I shall wish her all the best.

.:Farewell is the end of an old journey but a start of a new route to a better future:.

And so, I shall be happy and buy myself a gift too....

Since I have had my 2 injuries wearing the same trusted Playboy shoes which i have finally lost hope on, i decided to buy an appropriate shoe just for Bboying and make it my 1st bboying shoe and proud of what it will achieve =)

.:Ma new Baby:.

Quick Journey~~~

The journey to Batang Ai is longggggg (4-5 hours) as usual but i love the destination. It's calm and away from all the hectic city life. You will spot squirrel running around the coridor, jumping from tree to tree and birds chipping happily. But a 2 days 1 night trip is actually not even enough to visit interesting places such as the traditional longhouses, the 2 waterfalls and Batang Ai National Park. I only managed to join the 25minutes Canopy Walk that i have done it before for more than 4 times? However, since people ask me to go... go la.. consider is as a short break away from work hehehe. Here's some photo story of the journey.

.:Beer is always somewhere nearby coz I don't drink dirty water:.

.:Ended up starring at it when it's so boring and i can't sleep:.

.:The Ruai of the longhouse I stayed in:.

.:Breath taking view in the morning from my block early in the morning:.

.:Found out that rose apple is just a hand pick away:.

.:I need more so asked help from the local people:.

Now I'm already in Kuching and i ate so much at Kuching Festival just now until I can feel that my stomach is about to explode anytime if i don't stop.....

Kuching's Melbourne Shuffle Meetup IV

After a 3 weeks rest from Melbourne Shuffling, it's time to start shaking off some fat again. Only happens if the weather permitting and a small boombox coz I love old skool!

The flyer is sending the message that it is really an unplanned plan to have the meetup. Therefore, your present will decide the success of Kuching's Melbourne Shuffle Meetup. Without you guys, there isn't any Melbourne Shuffle Community in Kuching. For those that stays Someway over the river.. sorry la jauh sikit. Di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan kan? Coz Kuching Festival only happens once a year. If you use Tol, it is actually very near =)

True shufflers don't battle. They Unite!

.:See you guys there!:.

Note : I am back packing to Batang Ai-Lubok Antu later at 8am and only will be back on Friday night. any important stuff, please sms coz 016 no line ler.. limited internet coverage too.. Going to Isolated Jungle on a Chinese's Hungry Ghost Month is kinda thrilling isn't it? All the best to me people!

Fuck I Miss Bali~~~

.:Apache the Reggae Club in Kuta, Bali:.

I think I really need a break. This morning, someone sent me a link to this song called Welcome to My Paradise by Steven and The Coconut Treez.. The artist name is hilarious, but the song is great and you are most probably listening to the song right now. hahaha... the video clip with all the Dreadlock families in Bali really made me miss Bali =( damn Air Asia for canceling Kuching ---> Bali route!!!!!!!

.:How Bali's life is like... most relaxing moment:.

The original video clip reminded me of Apache. The whole song leads me to the memory of Bali where I got my cute tattooes on the back of my right arm. The place where I got the inspiration to dread my hair, where I felt like home, where I should belong. A paradise for happy reggae people…

.:My New Tattoes.. that was in 2006 okaysss:.

My body is here in Kuching since September 2006 but I left my soul in Legian Beach still sitting on the sun bed while eating my 2500rupiah nasi bungkus with a nice chilled mineral water enjoying the morning breeze and the sound of the waves. Where sexy and strong Australian men walking passed through my feet holding surfboard and Noorah annoyingly talking non-stop in Japanese as if I understand 100%.

.:Nasi Bungkus on the beach:.

.:How can i left out Arak Bali:.

The videoclip link i received was this....

.:Original Video Clip:.

The video clip promoting Bali i found...

.:That's when i started to miss Bali REAL BAD:.

Kuching Festival's Show 08

The show at Kuching Festival is finally over and everyone is happy as usual. For the past few days, I have controlled myself not to blog so everyone can see my last post and buy me Taiwan Sausage.. some how it doesn't work well coz no one offered.. So stingy.. hehehe

Last Saturday, I went to Boulevard on the 1st day the outdoor children’s water park opened and met these clowns… I hate clowns!

.:Chasing the clowns away:.

.:Buehehehe:.

.:Live band jamming at the other end by nobodyelse:.

Sunday.. I kinda lost my memory.. All i know is I got home pretty happy and safe with sufficient alcohol level, showered and had a good night sleep after that before a busy Monday arrived.

Yesterday, besides busy with the arrival and checking out of Sultan Brunei, comes the gig at Kuching Festival. 3 Bands performed. In this show, nothing much I can say besides 2 thumbs up and salute for everyone's contribution to make it a success although the crowd was not as much as last year's dance show. However, it is a bit or more to send out messages that these bands exist actively in Kuching and rock still. Well, besides the next day is a working Tuesday man..

.:1st United Kids of Oi:.

.:2nd Minority Elf-1st runner up in the recent St Joseph’s battle of the band:.

.:3rd Lucille with the 'Aliciaks Backstage Pose'– Thanks guys for playing few more extra songs buying time.. appreciate it:.
