Miri & Sibu

We are Off to Miri by 4.30pm bus today. It will be a freaking 15 hours journey that is going to turn me cuckoo again but i hope taking a different bus this time will be much better. No more one night in Beijing! =P

Wish us all the best in the competition and in the merchandize sales. I hope to sell it all coz it is damn heavy!

Anyway, we will stay in Miri till 31st March before we use the last night bus to Sibu. At Sibu, we will spend a night there. I hope to find another new pair of shoe at Go Why Town though. X)

On top of that, we might do the 3rd version of "Shuffling on Board" since the last one was in 2006. I attached here with the June 2006 & November 2006 oldskool version of shuffling on board. hahaha

Sayang You Can Dance ~~ Ya i know i know...

There are only 2 reasons why you should watch the up coming movie ‘Sayang You Can Dance’ Directed by the local director Bjarne Wong. The story is about....... YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT ANYWAY.

The 1st reason – It is the 1st Malaysian Dance movie with a lot of street dances incorporated in the movie along with the characters played by familiar faces from Malaysia and Indonesia. The actors and actresses are so cute and beautiful!

The 2nd reason – Because Aliciaks is in it. XD

.:From the 1st left : Aliciaks, Xaraix, Brian CKC, Na_Cheers:.

.:In Action:.

Yesterday was my 2nd time featured in Bjarne’s movie. Well ehem.. the 1st one you barely notice me coz I was blurry and appeared in Possesed like in 1 second? LOL… well this one is more proper appearance I guess coz I am doing what I love most in the movie. Melbourne Shuffling ^ ^

Also involved in the movie is my very goooood friend Firdaus and his group, Soul Higher as the bad guys. It is not to be missed!

It was a long day and we were sweaty and tired but felt great meeting all the artists and Nasir felt like a Superstar when the makeup artist cleaned his sweat halfway during the shooting like what we’ve seen in movies. =P

Other than that, it was OK beside Brian CKC being quite nervous and as blurr as usual. Brother Man Ching had lost his cool while dealing with Brian I guess… so don’t look down on Brian. He has the ability to make the ex Jackie Chan Stunt Team gone a bit nuts. All I did was just looking very sorry to Man Ching but laughing at Brian because we in Tribezone knows that he has been like that since forever. Just crossed our fingers for him to be steady in the upcoming competition.

So.. here's the story of a day in the filming career.

.Reached there at 8.00am and we had our 1st acting career breakfast

.:Really felt like in one of those Stephen Chow Movie ^ ^:.

While we were boringly waiting for our turn =P

And then it’s our make over time!

.:Xaraix:.

.:Became Rihanna:.

.:Brian CKC:.

.:See how pretty he is after that? PS: He is straight:.

.:Na_Cheers:.

.:Like no changes:.

.:Aliciaks – They didn’t do my hair coz it’s already cool enough:.

Some photo taken after the shooting

.:Posing for the professional shots:.

.:Posing for our own cameraman Aron’s shot:.

.:Another of our own deathly post *My Favourite*:.

.:And lunch before we continue waiting to be released from the scene:.

Anyway, here’s a short teaser video of our jumpstyle incorporated with Melbourne Shuffle routine.

Don’t miss the movie in the CINEMA in November 08 K! We’ll see you and you’ll see us there!

I doN't WaNt To care anYmore~~

I just love those photos. They tell me to remember to laugh and smile like that even when I am sober. I forgot when have i ever laughed or smiled like that for real.

To Care or Not To Care a blog post from rosewong.com reminds me of the dilemma i am drown in right now.

Every time when you do something, do you do it for yourself or you do it for your love ones? And if you do something for your love ones do they always have to be shown that you do it for them or you do it the way you think is right? What if it don’t go as the way you wanted it to be? What if it turned out to be disasters against you?

Mine basically has turned out to be a disaster. In fact, it is for life. I thought I can treasure something simple but it ain’t responded well to me coz it turned complicated and evilly against me.

As such I have decided that I should just forget about it, delete it from my past, present and future to-come memory, continue walking, stop worrying and don’t look back.

The Meet up~~

There were 80 shufflers registered for the meet up. For the very 1st one, it was really short because everyone is so reserved and ain’t mixing around much and some was just waiting for the 30 minutes shuffling session. Lol

Anyway, the main idea was to build a better relationship amongst Kuching’s Shufflers and to unite everyone as Kuchingites. It was pretty fun shuffling together after that though.

And here’s some photos and a crappy quality video.

Hakken aka Hakkuh

Being the only person in Malaysia to Hakke is kind of boring. Since nobody knows what Hakken is, i look as if like i am doing some sort of the old skool chicken dance or the scootish dance. But people in europe will know what it is. Besides jumpstyle or technotonik, there's Hakken aka hakkuh. Here I am promoting it to you... and hope you would Hakke instead of hardstyle when the BPM is above 170. I don't mind to see you Melbourne Shuffling but the question is.. can you shuffle with 170bpm?

Direct plucked from Wikipedia - Hakken (sometimes Hakkûh) is a form of dancing originating from the Dutch Hardcore and Gabber scene. The term is mostly associated with the Gabber subculture, and originally coined by DJ Darkraver from The Hague. In Australia, the dance it is mainly referred to as gabber(noun) or gabbering(verb), named after the music it is performed with it. The dance consists of small steps that quickly follow to each other to the rhythm of the bass drum. The lower body (down from the pelvis) is the most important part, though it is not unusual to move the arms and torso too.

The dance is mainly performed to Hardcore house and more specifically Gabber music. Because one is supposed to keep up to the beat of the song, the dance is usually done fairly quick, since the BPM of this music style can easily reach 260 BPM. It is not unusual for visitors of big Hardcore Parties to use drugs (such as ecstasy and to a lesser extent speed and cocaine) to be able to keep on going until the end of the party. Don’t do drug!

Here’s my 1st attempt video to Hakke

Back to Root Part 3

We are still not competing but we are performing. To share our knowledge and to promote our merchandize =) Do come and support us! The tickets are available at RM12 & RM15.

Do you want to be more Old School?

Ok I admit I like old school not because it’s cool. It’s because of the sentimental value and the rareness of the no longer practiced or used by the new generations' move. This video reminded me of few things I still do to make my colleagues laugh in the office on a boring working day.

My favourite are the staircase and the lift act. It’s very useful when your office door has a square look through glass in the middle. And shouting WASSUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to the phone is just so funny!

Not missed in the video I am attaching is the origin of Melbourne Shuffle's 'running man'.

And of course we are in the top three… Wakaka.. Lansinya~~~

For all the hard work and new dances we have to learn, it is finally a success to get us into the final ^ ^ Last night was great! Eventhough Brian and Rai did not get into final for the solo category, i was really envying them to still have the initiative to volunteer and join the solo. We have a groupie routine to practise and they still are full of energy. Love you guys! muaks~

.:The Kuching finalists for groupie are Cript Ballas, Hazard Minors and Tribezone. Yay!:.

.:The Kuching finalists for Solo are Musz, Alvin from Hazard Minors and Wallace from Hazard Minors:.

And the videos won’t be available at the moment coz will be in progress till after final we will do a rounded up video. In another word, we are going to surprise the audience in final *blurpp* hehehe

My phat’s finally ready ^ ^

Quick Chat : Tribezone is featured in MSO a documentary by Garry Shepherd. He's the most passionate person towards Melbourne Shuffle ever in this world and has been contibuting a lot on his own will. You may correct me if I am wrong but it's the fact.

Do read his blog as he is our HERO in action to keep Melbourne Shuffle Alive and the history well remembered. ;-)

*****************************************************************************************************************************************

Finally… after delaying it due to the idea of customers come first. lalalala

Done it step by step. Planned for so long but never have decided what I wanted. I am really pissed off with planning. So here goes the photo for my new phat. Edited by JBX and the model is not me and slightly too big for my phat but since I have no one else to take the photo for me, so I have to ask her to replace. LOL

.:You can see the 1st part of the process from my previous post *click* :.

Ok and... finally I can have my toilet break… It’s not what you think it is. So stop thinking.

.:It's the Singha Effect:.

Hardstyle this & hardstyle that~~~

Here’s the video of top 3 from Miri’s Division. Our competition will be this Saturday, 8pm @ Monster Tongue. Come and support us and the scene!

These days, it’s about clan. It’s really fuck up but it’s the fact. No matter how much you are against groupie, teamie, clannie, crewie, or whatever you call it, they still exist and you can’t beat it.

From my point of view… It’s not bad to be in a group of ppl. It gives you new ideas, new friendship, new activities and most of all, the reason to be involved. There is no need to against the whole idea of having a group of ppl shuffling together. Let them have fun and do something healthy in their youth instead of taking drugs or involve in gangsterism. I don’t reckon Melbourne Shuffling is against the law anyway.

Just don’t promote battle in Melbourne Shuffle because it doesn’t exist in the scene. You don’t battle in a Rave.. You enjoy the music the DJ is spinning and jst shuffle according to the beats. Follow the flaw and express… Not battling and trying to look cool just because you are not cool enough. =P

So when you say “hey battle battle” in front of me… you know I’m gna look at you like this

=_______________=lll

One thing I don’t understand from the people in Malaysia is what’s so special about Hardstyle? Do they even know that hardstyle is a music genre and Melbourne Shuffle is not hardstyle? Just because the hard stomp running man is also known as 'hardstyle' but it’s just one of the Melbourne Shuffle’s move. I personally call the people that jst do the hard stomp running man as Runners. Coz all they do is run.... ^ ^

The main point is, most new Melbourne Shuffler’s Groupie came out with the name that starts with Hardstyle followed by *something something*. The 1st group that named themselves as Hardstyle *something something* was Hardstyle Replublic and fck yeah.. they are 90% hardstyling and 10% doing others. So it suits them pretty much. But what about all the other groups? Are they sure they are just going to stick to Hardstyle forever?

What about trance? What about Hardcore aka Gabber? What about Hard House? NRG?

And what about the traditional Melbourne Shuffle Old Skool?

I am not here to criticize, I am posting this as an awareness on how the scene is going and that we should appreciate more of other genre in able to improve the scene. Also, choose your groupie name carefully, not just because it sounds cool.

Nostalgic Drink~~~

It has been so long since i've drank Singha... Had a yam cha session last Thurday before i went to Batang Ai... It felt great... Really great... Reminded me of how much me, Sherlee & Paul can drink till he has to take a day off the next day when we were rocking in Phuket. And Abby if u r reading this... Once again i would like to reinstate to you that... no... There's nothing going on between me & Paul.

We were & are still straight friends! lol

So stop asking... Was so sleepy when i hear your repeated questions yesterday. Hahaha
