I fEel So SmAll~

Couple months ago,

I lost my cell phone. Left it in the Hilton’s Ballroom Toilet when I was changing after badminton session. Kind of like took all my dirty cloths instead of the phone. On the same day, my dad bought a new cell phone. So I guess you can imagine what a shocking state he had when I told him… Before he told me about his new phone.

As the result, I was badly scolded in the car on the way back from work out of his frustration towards my absent minded brain. For me, what’s done is done. There’s nothing I can do about it. It might be my fault to left my things lying around but has he even realized that I was the victim of a lost phone?

I was raised in the house which “Whenever you take a thing, you do not have to put it back” Total freedom. That’s why my house was and is still very messy all the time unless if my aunt is around helping out my mum since we are all busy working and studying. When I was a kid, my parent was busy at the hawker stall all the time selling Sugarcane and Coconut drink with tidbits and fruit just right next to the Old Rex Cinema. So we kids at home having fun all the time trying very hard to make a mess and let my eldest sister to do all the housework and chasing us with Fly racket instead of rattan.

The point is, it does affect my life now. I forgot my drawing books, nametags, school bag, school shoes, purse, homework, cell phone.. you name it. All the time since forever and was never really being put in a devastating state.

I stopped talking to my dad since then but has tried very hard recently to regain our relationship until....

Yesterday morning,

My mum was boiling chicken and pork bones for the dog’s dinner and at the same time, reheating the soup for lunch. On the way out from my room, I saw the soup was boiling. So I off the fire and told her that I off the soup’s fire and the other pot's fire is still ON and she said ‘OK’.

After sending me to work and I continue doing my daily task, my mum called me at 9.45am to check if the fire for the dog food is OFF.. and I said to her I only off the soup.

My parent rushed back home to find the house full of smoke. If they are late for 10 minutes, it might be too late.

At this point, WHO TO BLAME? I do not blame my mum as she is always like this… Sometimes she never on the electricity when cooking rice and just 2 weeks ago, me and my sister scolded her for leaving the front door unlock when there’s nobody at home.

However, she has somehow told my dad that she has asked me to off the Fire. Wtf? I am 110% sure she didn’t say anything! She even told me that I should have OFF the fire. I asked her back since when did she tell me to OFF the fire? She just kept quiet. I really don’t blame her for being absent-minded or spontaneous respond due to my Dad’s LOUDSPEAKER temper.

But by doing that, I was badly scolded AGAIN in the car on the way back from work out of his frustration towards my absent minded brain. *Where as all i did was being a little helpful while on the way out from my room*

Ya i'm 24 this year and my dad is till treating me like a teenager.

Sometimes, I just feel so small….
