Thank You for the precious Gifts!

All these people made me feel so special in December with shower of gifts and companionship.

In December, I tried to cherish every moment and the person I ate the most lunch with in December is the one sitting on the right... This photo was taken in Verinice.

 

Had the best Chinese Bacon & Egg Sandwich made from the heart.... Lotsa tomato sauce. Reminded me of childhood recess burger which my dad proudly made every morning. I always brought it back in piece and let it grew fungus in my school bag until mum found out and that's when I had some of my dramatic days.

Plus a few little bags to keep my money... 2011 looks promising. With so many purses, it requires so much cash!

It's either something for Xmas or for farewell but the most important thing is, I love them all..

I'm feeling fat

Oh my god.. I am putting on weight seriously coz I can't think of anything besides eating... OK from tomorrow onwards, I have to start a very strict diet again...

As one of my colleague said... You shouldn't worry what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas but instead you should worry about what you eat Between Christmas and Thanksgiving! It's quite true though.. hahaha and so I didn't worry that much and ended up like this..... DAMN...

And now I am start worrying coz Xmas is over..

Well at least wait till the next PARTY with some of my relatives,  besties and close friends!

Farewell Lunch @ Causeway Bay

So... I'll be leaving Pullman Kuching soon and my last day falls on 30 Dec, my farewell lunch is about 2 weeks earlier which is today, 15 Dec. Well, I don't mind though coz sooner or later doesn't matter as only the effort counts. In Hokkien we always say 'Wu Sim Tu Ho'

Causeway Bay is not a bad place to eat at all despite the noise from all the mandarin speaking diners all over talking loudly while enjoying the delicious food... Here's a little bit about the lunch...

See.... everyone is happy that I will be moving to a new opportunity for my career... Instead of working my ass off for company's profit, I will be playing a little part in Saving the Planet and I hope that I can contribute well.. 

I love the gifts, the effort and appreciate all the time and things I went through with everyone! This is not the end... It is just the beginning and besides, I will still pretty much be IN TOWM...

The Brand New Car - 2011

.:Peugeot 207 Sedan:.

I've always love Peugeot and with the new Peugeot 207 sedan which is Malaysia assembled, the price is slightly lower than some of the over-priced and over-popular car in the country...  I have always never been the 'follow the crowd' type of person and this car is not as overloaded in the street as Malaysian Made car or some of the IN Japanese brand on the road. But people are concerning about the spare parts and maintenance cost... For me, it's all about LUCK when you buy anything at all even when it come to house, computer, hand phone etc...

Oh well, it's just a plan to look ahead to accomplish my next year's resolution No.2 which is To get a Brand New Car. Looking at beginning of April... but it doesn't mean that I won't change my mind coz I am a woman after all! he he he

On first day of December

On first day of December, it's World's AIDS day... all my colleagues were wearing red ribbon including myself... 

On first day of December, it's also the Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony and all my colleagues were there to witness the jolly event... I on the other hand was asked to do an impromptu welcome note and it went alright i guess since most of the people that came were either hotel guests, my colleagues, the invited guests from charitable homes, my friends and my FB friends included..he he he... all the lovely people..

December is coming....

Well it's another December soon and Xmas is coming again. As far as I know... my this year's resolution has not been achieved much.. Let's look at it again.. picked from 2009 :-

1) To start going to Yoga class again (TOOK UP AEROBIC CLASSES INSTEAD)

2) Dance.. at least once a week (FAILED... I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN DANCING INSIDE ME ONLY.. LOL)

3) Lamination floor for the studio & Installing AC (NOT DONE... RENTED OUT INSTEAD)

4) Must buy a surf board in Bali this trip (NOT DONE... CHANGED OF MINE BUT GOING AGAIN IN 2011... LOL)

5) Get a new lap top by middle of the year (DONE)

6) Get a new camera (CONSIDER IT DONE... GETTING IT IN DECEMBER)

7) Despite all the above, to save enough money for 2011's holiday trip to.... (DONE... BANGKOK & KOH PANGANG IN OCT 2011)

8) & Finally to do better in what I am doing now. (DONE.... There will be a big change of life on 10th January 2011)

Looking at it.... it's quite reasonable. I will make my next year's resolution early coz everyone should plan early and get over with it instead of waiting for the last day of the year!

MY 2011'S RESOLUTION!

1) Get a MAC Book.. Need to start brushing up my illustrator and photoshop skills

2) Get a Brand New Car

3) Enroll to a Tailoring Class.. who knows you'll be hearing designer brand in 5 years! LOL

4) To reach and maintain below 55Kgs

5) To pay all my bills on time... (I've always procastinate!)

5 resolutions are enough for next year!

So... what have you achieved this year and what's your plan next?

Can I write?

Someone recently asked me if I like writing. 

That is a good question indeed. 

In fact, I think I have phobia about writing but slowly overcoming it and enjoy doing it and sometimes it does come naturally plus with the great help of 'SHIFT + F7' it made the thesaurus more handy. 

All these is because of my personal lack of confidence when I first joined PR Department in the previous company. Before I joined, I've always seen PR as something difficult and it was a challenge that I decided to transfer from a Secretary to Director of Finance to a Public Relations Assistant. Socializing, communication with people in a right manner, how to be diplomatic, how to tackle story angles that you want to be featured by the media, invitations, standards of collateral and drafting press releases was especially hard for me that time as I had  zero knowledge of what's right and what's wrong, what kind of style had to be used and what not...

Throughout my employment, there was even one particular person that actually said I can't write and that writing should starts from young age and a natural passion, I made a lot of grammatical error in my blog (blog is not even serious for me... )  bla bla bla bla bla bla. At that time, I was 120% demotivated to write because there's no proper guide or training but critics instead. She made me believe that I had not much hope in my PR career.

More than 1 year ago, I took the courage to go for an interview. I mentioned clearly during the interview that particularly in writing, I had a lot to improve (and yes, this was how inconfident I was). However, the interviewer told me something that sounded like, 'Well, that's just technical. I am sure we can work around it.' and that actually brighten up my life. I really cherish the opportunity given to me that time and thanks to him, I overcame my fear and gained confidence in a lot of things.

Someone from the media also once told me... There's nobody that can't write if they are properly trained and besides, practice made better!

Back to the question... my answer would be: I DIDN'T DARE TO LIKE IT but now YES!

I lost weight!

I finally got back to my shape in 2006 before I went to Bali for the first time. I feel good at 60kg :) In total from April, I lost a total of 8kgs.. surprise surprise!

Only thing is i would like to loose another 5kgs to reach 55kgs... very tough eh...  but I will try...

For now, it's a relax week coz I'm down with sore throat and cough like nobody's business... I can't sleep at night! :( I must remind myself to drink a lot of water everyday...

Social Anxiety

I recently met a nice man but he sometimes has social anxiety towards certain things which are not even important or serious stuff for me... for example, simple things like meeting my friends up for dinner...  I think he will faint if it's to meet Mr Ng one day... I just wonder if the nervous breakdown is necessary sometimes.

Other than that he is a really nice person who treats me well (not like a princess though :P) and did a lot for me. Well, there's nobody perfect in this world. Just people that you feel comfortable with and let me just keep reminding myself...

Ing Graduated

And so, it's finally no more students at home.. When I was a kid, dad actually predicted he will be in a good life and retire by 50 years old.. However, all his kids have BIG dreams and mostly finished A Level/ Diplomas/ Certificates/ Bachelors... (BTW there are 7 of us!)

I hope he can relax more now since Ing has graduated and started her career in a bank in Kuala Lumpur and guess what? Dad is 70 years old now... 20 years later than his prediction. We should let him relax more and enjoy more... I'm heading to KL with him during Chinese New Year to meet up with the families and we'll be spending few days in Miri end of April as well. Just the two of us since no one else in Kuching besides Corina who is supposed to be too busy to drop by and say HI all the time as claimed.

Siao Cabos

It was a sisters night out. Since we've never really done anything together apart from family thing or at home being:-

1) My kitchen's slaves

2) Bathing the pet assistants

3) Computer Engineers

4) Milo Baristas

5) Maggie Mee Chefs

and the list goes on and on and on....

 We decided to go Karaoke together since the two sis were in town and Lil sis suggested Kbox at tHe Spring and so we went there...

We sang for a damn 2 hours and I actually fell asleep on the last half an hour... I don't know why.. maybe coz I didn't drink any alcohol while singing plus my sisters voice made me sleepy.. HA HA

Well for the record, dad is very happy. He said 'This is what sisters should do.. bonding with each other, doing something together, it's a good thing. no matter what you girls are still sisters' 

Dad didn't lived in a happy childhood due to family financial difficulties and I guess all the siblings were struggling and learnt how to be selfish in order to live their life and he had been in the situation where he seen his sisters (my aunties) fighting with each other, making each others life miserable, jealousy over marriage etc etc.. lotsa immature events during the old days... 

I saw a few Ng family's drama when I was a kid as well but it's true they were not close with each other at all and kinda reminds me of office politics hehe. Oh well, I better saddap now or everyone will kill me.

Step 2 - Slimming

I wouldn't want to look FAT when I finally managed to live a luxury life so I signed up for the slimming programme which offers reasonable price and I just had my first session... The slimming wrap was very very good. The feeling is like in a sauna but you can still breath pretty well coz the heat is only focusing on your body and not up to your head.

After the 1 hour session and multiple explanation on the product and how I need it to bust up the slimming process, I am given a boring diet plan which is: -

Breakfast

Skimmed Milk / Low Fat Milk/ Soya Bean without sugar

Coffee or Tea (with artificial sweetener)

Yogurt without fruits

Eggs (hard boiled, half boiled, scrambled)

Omelette with Tomato/ Mushroom/ Ham

Sausages/ Ham (boiled, baked)

Salad (tomato, lettuce, tuna, bolied egg, lemon juice, olive oil)

Lunch

All types of vegetables (except carrot, corn, onion and pumpkin)

Soya Products / Tau Fu / Yong Tau Fu (without sweet sauce)

Fish / Tuna in water / Shashimi / Fish Ball

Seafoods (crab, lobster, squid, oyster)*

Lean Meat eg. chicken without skin (grilled, baked, roasted, poached, steamed)

Dinner

Vegetables Soup / Tom Yam Soup / Tomato Soup / Mushroom Soup (not creamy)

All Types of vegetables (except carrot, corn, onion and pumpkin)

Soya Products / Tau Fu

Fish / Tuna in water / Shashimi / Fish Ball

Eggs (hard boiled, half boiled, scrambled)

WORST THING is I have to drink 2 - 3 litres of plain water per day =/ boringnya....

Oh well, I am very motivated to lose more weight so I'll be discipline.. For my plan to a LUXURIOUS LIFE! :D

Step 1 - Bank Account

After all these year, I finally open a Maybank Account today and proud of it. 

This is my first step for the 5 year's plan to a Luxurious Life!

Career Plan

My plan is simple.. to stop doing what I am doing by the time I am 32 to re-start off with the things that I love to do with a bigger and better scale...

It's a plan though and plan doesn't always work accordingly but at least that's my vision for now until 2015 and I am on a mission.. my mission is simple... which is To Work On My Vision!

Something for me to look forward to... All I have to do is to cut down on unessaccery spending and start my own *Huge Piggy Bank*

Why? Because I LOVE LUXURIOUS LIFE and it felt better if I create the luxury for myself. :D

October is a good Holiday Month

I just finished with all the crazy schedule and finally get to breath a little... Now I realized that October is a good month for me to chill a little.. So next time if I am planning on holiday, October will be the month..

My next holiday will be in February during the Chinese New Year for a family trip to the West Malaysia again =_= and Bali in April with Suparsoon and friends.. perhaps I should go somewhere else in Oct... hmm...

Who moved my Rooster??!!

I just realized that the Feng Shui Rooster in my office has changed it's direction facing in.. instead of facing out.. no wonder I have been feeling all stressed out and situation has not been that encouraging I may say. Was even thinking if I should be moving some furnitures around coz I felt kinda suffocated. I guess I am just very superstitious lo...


But anyway, I have turned it back and hope that everything goes back to normal.

Was working on a Bridal Fair last weekend and permed my hair as well... Not really excited in the bridal fair though coz I'm not thinking of getting married anytime soon anyway.

Overload - YES I AM

When a computer overload, it hangs..... and when human overload, the same thing happens.

Your performance will be less productive and seems to be slower not because you are disorganized but because there is NO WAY to organize the stuff when 24 hours are not sufficient.

New Mini Netbook

This is the first computer I ever bought and all these while I have been using things that are given to me by others, for example my younger sister's lap top and my brother's PC plus a family PC which have all failed on me. Condemn...

The Boys Were in Town

My two brothers were in town over last week. But on a different schedule. Christopher arrived in Kuching on 22nd August and left on 26th whereby Jeremy was in town on 25th until 1st September. It was a coincident trip which is why it was weird. Haha

Oh well, 26th August was Jeremy’s 30++ birthday.. and we celebrated it in Imperial Duck since non of them have ever ate in the restaurant and Jeremy didn’t want to have heavy dinner or something unhealthy and he dislikes cake. He probably have turned into alien from Mars after more than 10 years living in Singapore. Lalala
