Can't stop smilling

Despite drowning, I had a few great days and I'm smiling and smiling and smiling and smiling

To myself to be exact coz for these couple days, i have people: -

1) Asked if I am my god brother's younger sister (he's 2 yrs younger than me)

2) Asked if I am seeing someone coz my face is glowing

3) Asked for my phone number

4) Said I look slimmer (which is true.. lost 3 kgs in 2 weeks)

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Drowning...

It's when you have 101 things to do at one time and all you have is 001 person who is really helping and doing something useful.

I just hope I don't give up

Bali - Besakih is a rip-off

.:Besakih:.

.:The guys:.

.:The Girls:.

I have never said this but I am going to say it now because the people in Besakih is going beyond the limit.

I love Bali because it has breathtaking scenery, unique Hindu culture and the beach but I dislike the mindset of the local trying to squeeze and suck every bit of your blood because for them, all tourists are rich because they can travel to Bali. *But they don’t know that travelling to Bali is no longer as expensive as before*

One of the most and top rated ripped off tourist attraction is Pura Besakih. (Temple). I am saying this by experience as I just had my third trip there last month and still the locals tried to threaten me to pay for local guide or else I will not be allowed to enter the place after seeing there are 11 of us $_$.

The reason why I refused to pay even 1 cent for local guide is because we have each paid 10,000rupiah plus an additional 5,000rupiah for the entrance fee before parking. Drivers without tourist guide license are not allowed to bring their guests up to the temple. (Try guess why) because at the door to the temple, you are required to hire a LOCAL GUIDE ranging from 50,000rupiah to USD100 per person depending on how good is your negotiation skill. *BIG TURN OFF*

Local guide is totally unnecessary if you already know how to walk around the temple as long as you do not trespassed into family temples. Anyway, I managed to argue with the guy and we went up without paying anything more.

And then it was ‘Stage Two’… really felt like in Mario Brothers. When you reach exactly the foot of the temple, there will be 3 or more people attacking you. At least 2 will tell you ‘We are the guardians of the temple’ Fuck I really like that Phrase… and it made you feel like the place is 120% sacred before you realize it’s a tactic to ripped your pocket off. They will ask for at least 20,000rupiah – 50,000rupiah for the tour around the temple telling you that their family have been guiding the temples since centuries ago.

Ok cut the crap. I told them. Tak perlu terima kasih.

Actually the first visit, I was tricked by THE GUARDIANS OF THE TEMPLE because I didn’t want to offend anyone especially when I am not in my own country. He brought us to his family temple and asked for 50usd as a donation for the prayer. Me and my friend put RM20 in coz we were not very keen to give Rm150 away just like that even though it is for temple…. To be honest, I have never even given more that Rm10 to Tua Pek Kong ok…

When you are on tour, there will be children trying to sell you postcard at 10,000rupiah and they are mono-tone. Miss please buy this postcard, 10,000 only for school and food & repeat it non-stop. Even if you ignored them, they have high possibility to follow you around with the repeated lullaby.

At the end of the tour, the so call guardian of the temple will then ask for more tips even when your agreement was 20,000rupiah because their children needs to go to school or the mother is sick. That is when you realized that you should have took the LOCAL GUIDE instead of GUARDIAN OF THE TEMPLE because STAGE TWO is more expensive!

ORIGINALLY

Originally, Pura Besakih is a very beautiful mother temple of Bali. The biggest temple that have 17 or 18 small family temples in the area. However, it is the blood suckers that will spoil your holiday. If you don’t mind to pay more, you can still enjoy but if you are in budget and do not wish to spend the unnecessary, there are plenty more beautiful places that you can visit in Bali besides Pura Besakih.

My driver told me there were guests paying USD100 per person when they were at the gate. My bro Christopher paid about RM300 just to go up if not mistaken because the Local Guide has tricked him. My next trip to Bali with friends or family, this will be the last place I will suggest unless if they insist!

Shall you not believe, you can refer to most of the reviews in Trip Advisor on how they were ripped off...

Universal Studio Singapore

Whether you believe it or not but this is my first time traveling to Singapore together with Crispin also his first time in Singapore. With my brother Jeremy, his gf Jaslyn and some old classmates Judy & Leslie there, they have been very helpful to bring us around :)

The main reason for Singapore is the Universal Studio and of course visiting the casino since I am going to Kuching's one and only Chow Yun Fatt 'God of Gambler' ha ha ha...

We arrived the first day after our 11 people's Bali trip (Which I will blog about later). Went to Hotel 81 Sakura and checked in for Effendy & Lyvia since they were looking for a cheap below Rm120 hotel but is very far away from ViVo City.

.:The Lobby:.

And then we moved on to Fragrance Hotel - Royal. It is just 2 bus stop away from Vivo City and it's about RM300 per night not inclusive of breakfast.

.:My turf-full of stuff:.

.:Crispin's turf-cheh:.

First night, we had dinner at KFC and then Jeremy came to meet us up and walk around in Vivo. Apparently, four of us looked like Philippinos... after the sun in Bali i guess. even the Philippinos asked Lyvia if we are from Philipines... funny

Was suppose to buy a Doc Mart for 169sgd but thought can make more money but check check, it's just not the right time to buy yet. Unless if anyone wna give me as an early Christmas Present perhaps? :P
