Wei! Go To Kuching Festival on 4th August 08!

There are two main reasons why you should go to Kuching Festival on 4th August 2008 besides eating.

One - Coz’ Aliciaks is going! Do say Hi and emm…. This time I want to have few Taiwanese Sausages ‘Pork’ with lotsa chilli please. Don’t forget ah… or fried-ice cream can do also la..

Two - Lucille and United Kids of Oi will be starring the show from 9pm – 11pm!

These musicians are cool and friendly. They are so much fun not from 1st impression but after you know them, you will finally realize that you should not judge the book by it’s cover. Their fashion and images might scare people away. But not if you choose to understand them and you’ll find out that YOU ARE WRONG coz they are not posers or as dangerous as how they look... It’s just their way of dressing up to express themselves.

First Hero - Lucille

Lucille has their own blog although their music is not my cup of tea.. I keep complaining that the Vocalist’s voice is very very blurr and I cannot catch what he is singing… but I guess that’s his style coz eventually he got a lot of Kuchingites that love his songs…and some even named them Malaysia’s Radiohead XD Anyway, you can hear them LIVE on this Monday though coz when I don’t fancy it, doesn’t mean that you won’t fancy it too. Everybody have their own taste and flava and everybody believes in different thing.

Something like Ellen believes that she’ll have another beer but I believe that I need plenty more. Ask me personally if you still don’t understand what I mean ok!

Here’s some information you can dig it up for Lucille.

Final Hero – United Kids of Oi!

United Kids of Oi! has been in the scene since 2000 but I have only found them out 8 years after that… It’s the timing thingy I guess… 8 years ago the timing wasn’t right and 8 years ago I was in Form 5 still a naïve and innocent school gurl.. hahaha

Anyway, they are good and with 8 years of experience, this is the year they have go very very active… almost the year of glory I presume since I am a person who loves to assume most of the times.

But anyway, I like this band. It is a band with many outstanding attitudes. No.2 outstanding is a friendly skinhead vocalist, No. 1 outstanding is an insane bassist with a Mohawk followed by a clean-cut drummer, a cool and quiet lead guitarist and a simple and humble 2nd guitarist that didn’t bother to chase me away when I did my ‘aliciaks post’ few inches away next to his fingerboard during Kawan Tour XD

If you are wondering when is Melbourne Shuffle’s performance this year, I would like to announce that I have happily give the slot to both Lucille and United Kids of Oi until the Melbourne Shufflers in Kuching learn how to appreciate others and unite by themselves. I have been so busy with the studio and healing of my ankle that I do not have time to put any stress to my brain to arrange everything. It just doesn’t work this way.

Maybe next year, when everything goes better with few buddies of mine who are off from exams and hectic life, we will proceed with the show once again.

PS : I curi gambar from Lucille's site coz they look very nice... hehehe

Kawan Tour 2008 - Been There.. Skanked There... Wuhoo

It has been a long time since I have this feeling of really looking forward and all excited to attend an event and after all the drinking, shouting, laughing and dancing, my body’s battery level gone down to zero and I felt like shit when I’m on the way home…. However, last night was still not as bad as Speedzone where I flew all the way from Kuching to KL, checked in and go direct to the party… after the event I had to drag my body to walk for 10 minutes to catch the monorail and almost climbed instead of walk-up the 2 story high staircase and fly back to Kuching the next day..... That was total shit.

This is something that I cannot explain of why am I torturing myself to go for an event and come back looking like shit. Aiya.. whatever it is.. it’s something I LOVE TO DO not some poser who tell people this and that and they never even see anything Live?

Car polling to Miami at 3.00pm after we had lunch at Jalan Song ended up waited for the poor airline delayed artists… The 1st band only started playing at 5.30pm if not mistaken. Soon keeps complaining knowing his style of not liking to wait.. I got all fck up to make him waited for like 15 minutes and I also got fck up for waited an hour for him to arrive.. Well life is never a fair game in this case? -_______- But we spent 8 hours in the pub... longest drinking record ever.

While waiting, we took some photos.

.:This photo gave me the cancer warning advertisement feeling:.

After the 2nd or 3rd band played, it’s already 7.30pm and Tak has to go back to work... too bad he had to leave early but it’s not his fault everything gone delayed. Blame it on the Airlines and Weather! That’s looking on the bright side.

Lack of 1 person doesn’t mean party stop. It still goes on especially when
The Full Pledge Munkees starts playing. They had my favourite songs on ‘Best Days of My Life’ and ‘Monkey in The Closet’ but the didn’t play Soon’s favourite ‘Ego has Landed’ muahahahaha

Everyone starts skanking and gone hardcore pogoing but it’s allright. Everyone was happy.

.:Opss.. he found out so just pretending I want to take a photo like a fan la… lolx:.

.:Meet Ejal.. this guy smells like Calvin Klein. No kidding he really smells good:.

And then we have The United Kids of Oi which was the organizer for last night’s event. They also have few songs that I listen a lot to these days such as ‘I Miss You’ and ‘For Life and Pride’

My goodness… my legs were killing me!

.:Someguy taking photos of them:.

Finally, the star for the night, Plague of Happiness came out last and I asked Sherlee to ask them if they will play ‘Malam’ and they said it is in the set.. Wuhooo!!!!

I was really really happy last night. Attending event is much much better than organizing one. You don’t have to worry. Just buy your ticket and have fun. Also because of this event, I got to know a lot of fun and friendly people from the entertainment field. It made my network grown bigger, longer and uncut. XD

How was the event? It was one of the best that I have in 2008 unless if I go to Global Gathering in November.

Saturday Schedule.. haiz

Today, I went to judge for the Melbourne Shuffle competition.

The fun part starts at the movie carnival... had a great time spent with Sherlee & Nelson. Also not forgetting Firdaus & Friends.... lol. Strangely i found "The Happening" is quite nice.. It's at least more logic and not as brutal as "War of Worlds" even though the concept is almost the same.

.:Chop at his bicep! and they really did:.

.:Meet Hellboy -how fake-:.

.:Not genuine??? Kick his ass lor:.
.:1000 years of pain to him:.

MeEt JaSoN Brooke

Please meet the great great great grandson of Charles Brooke.

It was an honour to meet him yesterday. Although I don't know much about Kuching's history but without his anchestor, Kuching will not speak English as fluently as now... Even hawker selling vegetables also can speak well... I am so proud of everyone!

Here's the brief history of the Brooke Family in Kuching *click*

.:Me and handsome Jason Brooke:.
.:Charles Brooke - Jason's great great great grandfather:.
.:Somehow, he looks so much like James Brooke... his great great great great granduncle:.

Now I'm feeling great great great to meet him =)
PS : Jason is still in Kuching and do say hi if you meet him.

Abby's In Kuching =)

It's another reason to drink till you're upside down? Coz this chick comes to Kuching only for 1 night and leaving to Miri early tomorrow morning.... I also wanna work for airlines company!!!!!

I just came back from the drinking session and had fun making fun of my favourite classmate Crispin aka Chow Yun Fatt...

.:Group Photo Kelas 1J kek kek kek:.

.:The photographer & Crispin:.

.:Wasted my last glass and poured into the jug coz i know my limit:.

.:I guess some people got angry and trying to shoot me:.

Yes i had another blast but not as bad as last Friday.. just that i got a lot of important things to do tomorrow =_= hehehe me & Sherlee managed to watch some part of Speed Racer at Amphitheater while waiting for Abby to get ready and we actually ate there..... PS : I slept for like 30 minutes with the loud sound system coz i am really very very tired..

Good nite... XD

Where To Go This Weekend - Part Three

This Saturday, go to Waterfront =)

.:Link to the article *click* waterfront event info on this *click*:.

Suprisingly in the government or semi government event like this, comes Melbourne Shuffle competition at 5pm-6pm on Saturday evening and I am invited to judge the compy. Although the time is quite short, I do hope that they will give me some chance to say a few words. Some constructive and positive comments to the groups that joined (whoever they are)... I don't know much about the competition as I am not the organiser.

Anyway, I am really honoured to be the 1st one in mind for an event like this... Not just any Dick and Harry competition.. but a competition that involved the Gerak Usahawan that reveals not only the public starts to accept Melbourne Shuffle but also the enterpreneurs.... muehehehe

Come la... and do say hi.. again if you wanna buy me a Chicken Kebab.. I am glad to eat it while I judge.. coz I can't judge properly if I am hungry right??? hahaha...

Where to Go This-Weekend-Part Two

Tomorrow is the 1st day of the 3 days Star Movie Carnival 2008 that will happen at Amphiteather. The flyer says it all. I will be there trying to watch movie peacefully without any rain or people factor… hehehe

PS : I pimp the tickets too.. for last minutes interested people, I still have the tickets with me until tomorrow before 6.30pm.

.:The Flyer:.

Anyway, if you happen to be there…. Don’t forget to say HI or get me a glass of Pepsi or a plate of French Fries… That will help me enjoy the movie more and happy to see you more! hehehehe

Where to go this Weekend - Part One

There are few places where you can go this weekend. Either to the movie watching any day on Friday, Saturday & Sunday night at Amphiteather for Star Movie Carnival (will blog as Part Two) or an interesting MUST SEE gig in Miami on Sunday afternoon from 3pm onwards. That’s because it’s where I will be… hahaha

Today I am going tell you more about the Sunday’s MUST SEE gig before you close this window and never find out that it is a Tour gig by 2 great bands from Singapore & JB called The Full Pledge Munkees and Plague of Happiness along with the local bands that are really good… Bands that refuse to join competitions, bands that play because of passion and not fame, bands that can make your head and body moves, bands that is not accepted by the local public, bands that is narrowly seen as if it is something bad… Welcome to Kuching?

Anyway, Belum try belum tau kan? I went to their Pre-Kawan Tour last Sunday and had a great time =) Here's a preview post by ilovekuching on last Sunday's Pre-Kawan Tour. Kojack appareantly named me Ms Predator and now I simpan dendam and don't wanna blog about it... lolx joking... actually I was too busy drinking although all the people are mostly drinking their free soft drinks =) gave ours to Hafiyy and Sabree coz a soft drink in a pub at night... She's BacK from the MAinland of China!

Finally...... after 5 months of wondering when will she comes back coz I asked her in February and she told me she will be in China for 2 months before she comes to Kuching again, now.... she finally is here and based in Jalan Song Food Court. hehehe it's the chinese "Siao Lung Pao" lady which we jokingly named her as "Siao Lung Nu" without her knowing it.. hehehe coz sometimes she wears blink blink blouse as if she's going clubbing or sing in a Nighclub after the stall operation... I saw her at Jalan Song last nite and without hesitation shouted for my sis to SEE WHO'S BACK!

.:She's the one =):.

Why? Coz her chinese pao is like HEAVEN also reminded me of the Mongolian Lamb Pooza except for it is PORK... For anyone that doesn't know the power of the Siao Lung Pao yet, do go and try and get addicted like me =.=''' anyway, it is NON-Halal.. XD

.:The mouth watering Siao Lung Pao... it is so juicy that it pops out when you bite it (RM4 for 6 pcs):.

Secondly today is the 3-Legged Fancy Dress Charity Walkathon and am very glad that RDZ, Soul Higher and God-Soul came and performed as promised =) and also.. Finally it is over! I do not have any fancy dress to fancy about this year but I do made my name fancier i guess.. hehehe

.:In the office before the event starts.... lol:.
